Fairtrade International is the international non-profit, multi stakeholder body that is responsible for the strategic direction of Fairtrade, sets Fairtrade standards and supports producers.


The position holder will provide administrative, organizational, logistical, analytical, and other work-related services to assist the work of the Standards and Pricing Unit.
  • Assist in creation of material for the upcoming Trader and Cocoa Standard consultations
  • Assist in the analysis of consultation results for the upcoming Trader and Cocoa Standard consultations
  • Assist in creation of communications material for the Unit
  • Carry out information research tasks upon request
  • Support analysis of Website information available and support improvements



Education: in the field of Economics, Agronomy, Politics, Social Science, or Geography related field would be an asset. Only applicants who are enrolled in German universities can be considered for this position.
Knowledge / Job Specific Competencies:
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good command of MS-Office
  • Experience in data visualization
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for making basic graphs and charts. Macros are not a must but familiarity with pivot tables is essential.
  • Comfort using various digital collaborative tools such as Miro/Mural/MS teams/mind-maps etc.
  • Previous experience working with or working in developing countries (e.g., work, internships, travels) would be an asset

  • Location: Fairtrade International office, Bonn, Germany
  • Duration: 12 months
  • Working time 20 hours per week, distributed flexible
  • Remuneration according to the Salary group II of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Wholesale and Foreign Trade Industries for North Rhine Westphalia.
  • Starting date: as soon as possible
