Fairtrade International (FI) is the international non-profit, multi stakeholder body that is responsible for the strategic direction of Fairtrade, sets Fairtrade standards and supports producers.
Fairtrade International’s HR team is responsible for the full range of people focused functions on an international environment. Liaising closely with all HR colleagues the HR Coordinator drives positive employee experience and effective communication within the HR team, with FI employees and with external parties. The HR Coordinator oversees HR Administration and supports the digitalisation of HR processes. He/she contributes to organisational development and cultural change based on FI Organization Code, Values and Strategy.

PRINCIPAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The HR Coordinator
- ensures effective and timely communication on HR topics (e.g., HR Newsletter, staff updates, FI Insider) and maintains the HR communication plan.
- initiates and implements employer branding activities and employee related events.
- coordinates and develops further the on- and offboarding of employees, incl. relocation support.
- coordinates the HR@fairtrade.net account.
- oversees HR Administration, including personnel files, correspondence, business cards.
- supports digitalization of HR processes, tools, and documents.
- supports recruitment processes (e.g., preparing job ads, screening applicants, coordinating interviews).
- coordinates regular and accurate HR Statistics & KPIs.
- participates in HR projects, assists in payroll administration and international HR topics.
- supports and substitutes HR team members and undertakes other tasks that are consistent with the level and responsibilities of this post.
- cooperates with other departments, works council, external organisations, and public authorities on HR related topics.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Level of Education
University qualification or apprenticeship with further qualification in relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or comparable education.

Requiered Competencies and Qualifications:
- Commensurate work experience ideally in an international and intercultural context
- In-depth understanding of HR functions and processes
- Sound knowledge of German labour law and works constitution law
- Very good coordination and organizational skills
- Very good communication skills and facility in cross-cultural communication
- Fluency in German and English
- Service driven working attitude, diplomatic and sensitive approach
- Ability to meet tight timeframes efficiently and to work independently
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good command of MS Office Suite, HR IT Systems and digital competence
- Reliable team player with passion for the job and the desire to go the extra mile
- Motivation for Fairtrade
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- This is a full-time position with a limited contract covering for parental leave (minimum 1 year)
- Location is at Fairtrade International offices in Bonn, Germany
- The office language is English
- Salary is as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Wholesale and Foreign Trade Industries for North Rhine Westphalia and Fairtrade International Company Agreement on wages and salaries plus an attractive benefit package
